I'm Hassan Nasiri Khonsari, a mechanical and mechatronics design engineer. My work is the mechanical design of industrial machines and robots, followed through fabrication, assembly and commissioning.
I hold an MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Applied Design) from Sharif University of Technology, supervised by Prof. Mohammad Durali, and a BSc from Iran University of Science and Technology. I have twice won 2nd place at the Khwarizmi Youth Award and was named a laureate of the Alborz Prize in the Technologists & Inventors category.
My work ranges from postal sorting robots — the first two generations deployed in Tehran and Kermanshah, the third produced as a 200-unit series — to a knee prosthesis test apparatus, a powder feeder for direct metal deposition, five industrial 3D printers, a fleet of seven waiter robots and omnidirectional mobile robots.
At Karun I currently handle part and assembly design, dimensional and weld inspection, and management of external machining and fabrication workshops; over 8,000 industrial parts have been delivered to date.

Publication
A study of the frictional behavior between bone and titanium (Ti6Al4V) implants made by selective laser melting (SLM). Friction coefficients were measured across combinations of bone density, implant surface texture and load — results that support the design of custom orthopedic implants matched to each patient’s bone properties.
