Hassan Nasiri Khonsari, mechanical designer of generations one to three, explains the improvements in the third generation: speed raised from 1.1 to 1.8 m/s, weight cut from about 30 to 10 kg, footprint reduced from 70×70 to 55×55 cm, and a two-level structure.
A paper for the 14th National Elites Conference, themed “Elites and Knowledge-Based Governance”, on making Iran’s higher education more effective. Its main proposal: base faculty promotion on the economic impact of industrial projects rather than paper counts, define PhD theses around real, funded industry needs, and encourage industry — for example through tax exemptions — to bring its problems to universities. Research, it argues, matters when it becomes technology and wealth and solves the country’s real problems, as Japan did by sending its students abroad to work on problems its own industry needed solved.
